- "He attended the public schools, where he acquired an excellent education, upon its completion he entered the employ of the Standard Gauge Steel Company, of Beaver Falls, with whom he remained thirteen years. In 1908 he purchased a farm of one hundred and four acres, near the homestead of his father, and erected a number of substantial outbuildings upon it and made numerous other improvements. He cultivates general produce and has been very successful in this enterprise. His political support is given to the Democratic party, and he has served several years as school director. He is a member of the Presbyterian Church, and of the Knights of Malta....."
