- According to his obituary, titled "A Grand Old Man":
He graduated from medical college at Fairfield, NY on Febuary 3, 1829, and moved to Oneonta in that year.
In 1834, her married Emilia A. Meigs, and built his house in Oneonta, where he lived until his death.
He had two children, Dr. Meigs Case, and Mrs. Carrie L. Miller.
