Notes |
- James M. Thompson's burial place could not be found in the initialsearch of Mercer County, Missouri cemetery records. His wife Altadied in 1895, and the children are found being raised by theirgrandparents in the 1900 census record. It has been difficult doingresearch on the family on www.Ancestry.com for an outline since theirbirths and deaths fall between the census record years. On thehttp://genealogy.about.com site sponsored by www.RootsWeb.com, thecemetery records for Mercer County show that Alta was buried near herparents Henry & Amanda Dudley, but there is no mention of James M.Thompson being buried there. Her stone does say that she is the wifeof J.M. Thompson, however, according to the site though nothing elseis mentioned about her husband. So, at the present time it is notknown as to what has become of James.
