Subject: [NYSULLIV] TYLER - Bethel
Seeking additional info on Timothy Tyler (1755 - ca1820) and family. Timothy was a farmer at Town of Bethel, and was a soldier in the
Revolution. Timothy was a son of Bezaleel Tyler and Sarah Calkin who were early settlers to the region along the Delaware River ca1760s. Many Tyler descendants resided in or near Cochecton, NY, as well as in Wayne County, PA.
I have very sketchy information on Timothy. Most of what I have learned has come from "The Tyler Genealogy, The Descendants of the Branford, Connecticut Line of Roger Tyler" by Willard I. Tyler Brigham and Calvin Cedric Tyler.
The exact date and place of Timothy's death, as well as the place of his burial seems to be uncertain. Would like to know more about Timothy, his wife Rachel (Middag), and their children.
Will share share info with those researching the numerous Tyler families of the Delaware region.
