Mr. Glenn Roy Ratliff, Sr. 64, passed from this life Monday eveningDecember 30, 1991 at St. John's Hospital in Nassau Bay (Texas). Hewas born April 22, 1927 in Oakwood, Illinois. Mr. Ratliff had servedin the United States Army for 24 years, during which time he wasawarded an Army Commendation Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Vietnam ServiceMedal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and two Oversea Bars. He served duringWW II, Korean War and the Vietnam War. Glenn ran for Duchesne City(Utah) Mayor in 1982. Survivors include his wife, Mary W. Ratliff,Duchesne (Utah); daughter, Connie J. Guelfi of the Galveston (Texas)Police Department; son, Glenn R. Ratliff, Jr., Oklahoma City,(Oklahoma); four grandchildren and two great grandchildren; stepmother, Helen Ratliff, Danville; brothers, Truman Ratliff, PalmSprings, California; Robert Ratliff, Harold Ratliff, and RonaldRatliff, all of Danville, Illinois; sisters, Mary Ellen Ratliff andConnie Jean Ratliff, Danville. Grave side services were conducted atHouston National Cemetery in Houston. Reverand John C. DeForkeofficiated. Casket bearers will be friends and relatives." Houston,Texas Newspaper article.
