The first several generations of Thomas 1 can be found in "History and Genealogy of the Families of Old Fairfield" by Donald Lines Jacobus.
Thomas 1's first wife's name was Alice and I am also descended from her son Thomas. Thomas 1's second wife was Mary, last name unknown (it was NOT Fitch).
Mary outlived Thomas 1 and married John Banks. This issue is also discussed in "The American Geneaologist" 27:156-159.
