"On Tuesday Night died, at Sproughton in Suffolk, (the Seat of Sir John Barker, Bart.) the Dowager Lady Barker, Relict of the late Sir William Barker, and Mother to her Grace the Dutchess Dowager of Hamilton, and to the Lady of Sir James Dashwood, Bart."

- "This stone us put down by the Duchess of Hamilton, in remembrance of DAME ANNE BARKER, the most affectionate of mothers, and the best of friends, who departed this life the 26th of Nov. 1764, aged 64.
And beneath the same stone are deposited the remains of ELIZABETH relict of Sir James Dashwood, Bart. of Kirklington Park, in the county of Oxford, and daughter of the above Dame Anne Barker, who died April 19th 1798, aged 80
