Mary Worms was of mixed Irish and German ancestry. I think originally from St. Ann's parish.
- (Research):There were three women named Mary Whorms or Worms in St. Ann's parish. The first was Mary Whorms, maiden name Lurch, mother of the second Mary Whorms, my great-great-grandmother, and a third Mary Whorms who died at age 5 of a "fever" in 1898 (death certificate attached). She was the daughter of Cornelius Worms, the son of Alfred, who was John Whorms' brother. There seem to have been a number of Wormses in St Ann's, all of them apparently descended from Friedrich and Louisa Whorms, who together had 8 children.
