SWEENEY, MARY EILEEN (GAMBLE) The death of Mary Eileen (Gamble) Sweeney, wife of the late Walter Sweeney, occurred on January 2, 2005 at her residents. Born in Fredericton, NB. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Nina (Black) Gamble. She was a retired housekeeper and manager of The Clark House, Fredericton, past member of the Rebekah Lodge and very much enjoyed her quilting group at the Cathedral. She is survived by three sons Hazen Sweeney (Margaret) of Chatham NB, Norton Sweeney (Phyllis) of Durham NB and Robert Sweeney (Catherine) of Durham NB; one daughter Helen Dawson (Arthur) of California, USA; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers Elwood, Harry and Herman Gamble; three sisters Daisy Stewart, Eleanor Stewart and Evelyn Bubar; one granddaughter Mary Sweeney. Visitation will be held at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Dr. Fredericton NB on Wednesday January 5, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service will held on Thursday at 11 am with Rev. Bill MacMullin officiating. Burial will be in Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Stanley, NB at a later date. Ladies of the Imperial Rebekah Lodge # 102 are asked to meet at York Funeral Home on Wednesday at 2pm for tribute service.
