- Alexander L. Love did take in several family members over the years,including his sisters, Anna & Maria, and his sister Elizabeth'schildren Anna & John B. Blair to raise after their parents died. Inthe 1870 census it shows that after her mother's death Anne Blair wentto live with her grandmother Mary A. Love. Alexander was still athome at this time as well. John B. is still living with his father inNew Jersey. In the 1880 census record both John B. & Anne are livingwith Alexander and his wife Mary in Henry County, Illinois.
By using the Federal Census Records and the date and place of hismarriage it would be appropriate to estimate the date of his move fromPennsylvania to Illinois between 1870 census in Bucks County, PA., to1877 in Henry County where he married.
