"CLYDE M. FRENCH, 76, of 1601 Elmore St., died Monday afternoon inCulver Hospital. Mr. French was a retired milk hauler and had livedin Crawfordsville the past three years. Prior to that he made hishome near Waveland. He was a member of the Baptist church atSarasota, Fla. He attended Browns Valley School. Mr. French was bornAug. 1, 1904, near Ladoga, a son of Elmer and Mable Reynolds French.He was married to Charlotte Roberts, who survives. Also surviving aretwo sons, Elmer of Phoenix, Ariz., and Robert of South Wellington,ILL.; three daughters, Mrs. James (Irma) Elmore of Crawfordsville,Mrs. Dennis (Janice) Divan of Danville, ILL., and Mrs. Kenneth(Marilyn) O'Neal of Whitewater, Wis.; a brother Earl of Waynetown;four half brothers, Ernest of Ladoga, Ralph of Waveland, Eddie ofCrawfordsville and Clarence; three half sisters, Mrs. Opal McKinstryof Ladoga, Hazel Hartung of Fort Myers, Fla., and Gladys Fletcher ofMace; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was precededin death by two brothers. Services are at 2 p.m. Thursday in PowersFuneral Home at Crawfordsville with the Rev. Glenn Brigmanofficiating.
