- Claude was raised by his grandparents, the Reynolds, along with histwin brother Clyde after his mother's death. His mother gave the boysto her parents right before she died. He wasn't a very talkative man. (Per Amy Hough Terry; great-granddaughter, 07 April 2005)

CLAUDE M. FRENCH
CHESTERFIELD - Claude M. French, 65, 125 N. Water St., died Fridayevening while a patient at Community Hospital in Anderson. Mr. Frenchwas a retired employee of the Miller Trucking Company in Gas City in1965 and the Brown Valley Christian Church. He was also an honorarymember of Local 135 Teamster and Chauffer Union. Surviving with thewidow Opal and father, Elmer French of Ladoga, are six daughters,Margaret Rambo and Mabel Bronnenberg of Anderson, Madonna Barkdull ofEscondido, Calif., Cherrie Dowell of Hanover, Ohio, Barbara Mitchellof Middletown and Carol Cade of Chesterfield; three sons, Lewis Frenchof Canton, Ohio, Randy French of Anderson, and Claude D. French, athome; three brothers, Earl French of Ladoga and a twin brother ClydeFrench of Oakwood, Ill., 23 grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the Ballard andShirey Funeral Home in Daleville with the Rev. Leroy Hines,officiating. Monday at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the MillerCemetery.
