- "Lillie was born in a house at the north edge of Ladoga owned by hergrandparents, John and Julia Neal Kinkead. She attended Ladoga School(Montgomery County, Indiana), graduating from the eighth grade in 1899in a ceremony conducted at the Old Normal School. She was baptised atthe Ladoga Methodist Church as a young woman. Marrying Elmer in 1905,she reared his sons, Earl and Paul along with her eight Frenchchildren and also reared her granddaughter, Martha Webb. She died atthe home of her daughter, Opal McKinstry and her funeral was conductedat Hunt and Son Funeral Home in Crawfordsville, Wednesday, march 27,1963 with burial near her parents in the New Ross Cemetery."Information from Amy Hough Terry, 07 April 2005.
