- In the 1860 Census Casander is 37 years old and not yet married livingat home with her parents. No occupation is given for her. Also,noted is her marriage date of 1865, and in 1870 her mother is livingwith her brother William H. Miller. Could it be that she marriedeither shortly before or right after her father's death? Otherwise,she had been at home helping to care for her parents.
