Notes |
- James Douglases great grandson William B. Douglas remembered him as being very eccentric in his later years. He would sit on his front porch and yell at people passing by who he didn't like. His comments were mostly political as James Douglas was a staunch Federalist, Warren County was a Federal County in the Civil War. He was a land owner and tobacco farmer.
There may have been a fifth child born, according to the 1880 Soundex, but no record, of any kind, has been found to date. I feel this was "misinformation" on the Soundex.
James Thomas Douglas (1848-1922) married Celia Frances Milam (1852-1936). Both are buried in Cherrys Chapel Cemetery, Warren County, Kentucky, USA. His daughter was Lottie Belle Douglas (1875-1937) who married James Robert Norris (1868-1924. her daughter was Christa Belle Norris (1910-2008) who married Carl Bethel (1906-1970. They are buried in the Evergreen Cemetery in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, USA. Her daughter was Hazel Mae Bethel (1928-1983) who married a Living McDonald. Lottie Belle Married C. L. Martin after the death of James Robert Norris. The family had her buried next to her first husband in Riverview Cemetery in Butler County, Kentucky, USA. (My grandmother) changed the spelling of her name from Christa Belle to Christabel.
