  1 - Agnes McFarlane is the 15th child of Donald McFarlane and Mary McNee/ McNie. I have a copy of the original manuscript written by Donald, showing his lineage. [ E-mail from Catherine Sutherland rec: 4 Dec 2008 ] 2 - Nancy had a large family of sons and two daughters. Daniel and Parlan are captains of steamers on Lake Erie, and two are on farms in Fayette Co., Ia. [ History of Clan Macfarlane by Mrs C.M. Little pub. 1893 p225] 3 - Agnes was reported as a direct descendant of Sir John MacFarlane (Clan Chief), through his son Walter of Ardleisch of Arrochar.
