- William DRYSDALE was involved with the Montreal Hunt Club from 1854 to 1889. He entered the club as a 'whipper' under Kennedy, the Huntsman, and Lieut. Cox of the Royal Engineers, who was master until the outbreak of the Crimean War took him from Canada. Mr. D Lorn McDougall then became master until 1959. In 1866 William became Huntsman and held the position ever since.
