Notes - (Chief) (Sir) John Grierson, 6th Lord of Lag was born c1490 at Dumfries-shire, Scotland. He was the son of Roger Grierson & his wife, Agnes Douglas. He married, firstly, NICOLA HERRIES, daughter of Robert Herries of Mabie, in 1529. He married, secondly EGIDIA (aka GILES) KENNEDY, daughter of John Kennedy of Culzean & his wife, Jane Stewart, between the years 1529 & the 20th day of August, 1548 at Dumfries-shire, Scotland. (Sir) John Grierson died in 1566. On November 7th, 1514, he had sasine of the Estate of Rockhall; and on November 9th, 1514, he had sasine of the Estate of Lag.
