• Notes

  The Scots Peerage, Vol 2, p337, says that she was the daughter of Sir William Keith of Inverugie However, if you look at manuscripts.nls.uk/repositories/2/archival_objects/6100 there is an entry that says: "Indenture between William, 1st Earl of Caithness and his son, and Sir Gilbert Keith of Inverugie and Mary his daughter, 26 July 1477." which suggests that she was actually the daughter of Sir Gilbert Keith of Inverugie.
