“MRS.AUGUSTA M. DEKEZEL GENESEO - Mrs. Augusta M. DeKe
zel, 86, of 306 N.Vail, Geneseo, died Thursday afternoon in Hammond-Henry DistrictHospital here. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Malachy’sCatholic Church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation isfrom 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Myers Funeral Home herewhere the rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. by the Altar and RosarySociety. A public rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Augusta Ghys wasborn in Oostburg, Holland. She was married to Charles L. DeKezel Aug.15, 1912, in East Moline. He died Jan. 20, 1963. Mrs. DeKezel wasan honorary member of the Altar and Rosary Society Circle 14.Surviving are a son, Edward B. of Cambridge; three daughters, Mrs.Charles Netolicky, Mrs. Wilbert VanDeWoestyne and Mrs. Darwin Johnson,all of Geneseo; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She waspreceded in death by six brothers, a sister, a son, and a grandson.”
