William Ker 4th of Gateshaw (b. 1759) marr Jane Martin, dau of Ellis Martin, in 1806; their son Ellis Martin Ker sold Gateshaw estate to Christopher Douglas of Chesterhouse, W.S., in 1873 (Annals of a Border Club, 1899).
