Notes: In the 1850 Federal Census it's obvious that Mary is related to thefamily with Catharine Day (72 years old) living with her and nohusband of her own in the household. They are all listed as born inNorth Carolina. She is living next to Andrew and Ambrose Day,probably her brothers and their families. Mary and her first fourchildren were also born in North Carolina. Her husband must havedied from the time of her youngest child's birth 1846 to the 1850census then. Mary's oldest son John was working by the time of thecensus on the Stephen Philpot farm next door to the family and islisted as a farmer. Mary married Elder Davis about 1833 in North Carolina, USA.
