BERTHA MINCKLER SWENDSEN
MILANVILLE: Bertha Minckler Swendsen of Milanville, a lifelong area resident, died Saturday, July 21, 2001 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. She was 72.
Daughter of Sanford and Irma Williams Minckler, she was born July 15, 1929 in Stalker.
Survivors include her husband, James Swendsen, at home; 10 children, Sandy Everard of Milanville, Larry Greer of Cochecton, Izzy Hendrix of Roscoe, Carl Jean Gillow of Long Eddy, Carol Gregg of Beach Lake, Bobby Olsen of North Branch, Della Johnson of Hancock, Teresa Swendsen Gillow of Beach Lake, James Swendsen of Milanville and Donna Swendsen of California; 22 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services were held at the Stewart-Murphy funeral Home in Callicoon. Pastor Lane Jones officiated. Burial was in the Milanville Cemetery.
