Duh, in previous message, I said William Case/Marcy Case, should be Marcy Osman. I have information that he married Mary Osman in 1740, she died in childbirth, and he married Marcy Osman in 1741. Mary Massey, I have no idea who she is, except someone has her listed as William's wife. I have found info on Gen Circles and Ancestry.com that takes the line way back, if, it indeed ties into my William. Complicated? Jean

7. Mary Case was born about 1740; died about 1818.
8. John Case was born about 1742 in Pennsylvania; and died.
9. William Case was born in 1753 in Pennsylvania; died on 1 Nov 1827 in Washington, IN.
10. Keziah Case was born about 1755 in Westmoreland, PA; died about 1820.
11. James Case was born on 12 Sep 1760 in NJ; and died.

From an article in a BriefCase VOL.III,#1, dd September 1983 attributed to "Pioneers of Riverhead Town, (1981) compiled by Virginia Wines": "The first Henry Case, born in Lancastershire, England in 1630, married Martha Corwin, the daughter of Matthias Corwin, in November 1658. He died in Southhold in 1664 and his widow Martha became the wife of Thomas Hutchinson. Henry and Martha's son, Henry, was born September 5, 1659, and died April 16, 1720." He was married to Martha Corwin in Nov 1658 in Southold, Suffolk Co., NY.

There is controversy as to the father of Henry 1, and as to whether Henry was born in England. Some contend that William of Newport, who
may have been on the ship "Dorset" from England in 1635 was the father. William had brothers John and Thomas, and possibly Richard. Their father, believed by some to be a William Soloman Case, may have died on the ship "Dorset". William was known to have three sons, William, Joseph, and James. Thomas was a Quaker preacher/teacher, had no children, and left his estate to William's son William. There was another William Case in Edgartown and a John Case in Tisbury (both Martha's Vineyard) at the same time. No son Henry has been verified for any of the above. John Case once testifieded in Hartford, CT court in 1655 to support Henry's request for release from servitude to John Knott.

I have attached Henry to William Case, until proven otherwise, primarily for convenience in producing charts and reports from FTM. (JTC)
