Luc Charles Sholto was the second son of Francois-Prosper Douglas and Charlotte de La Corne

Father Luc Charles Soltho DOUGLAS, he succeeded his uncle, Pierre Valentine Douglas,  in the canon Auch 's, and collected the proceeds of a bribe to BAR-LE-DUC; he usually resided in PARIS, halfway, somehow, between his profits.

We do not know how the canon lived, but we know his death. Imprisoned for refusing the oath, he figured in the list of clerics killed in the prison of the Carmelites in September 1792. They say he was in the secret of the flight of the King in VARENNES and had conspirators recruited for this purpose.
