Francisco Scotti Fernández de Córdoba , Granada , (1704-1770) was a
Spanish poet of the 18th century.
Pedro Scotti from Agóiz (See
below) and María Ana Fernández from Córdoba, he inherited at his death the lordship of the towns of Somontín
and Fines , in the province of Almería.
In 1735 he published,
posthumously, the first volume of his father's poetic work; He dedicated
the publication to his relative Aníbal Scotti, marquis and diplomat.
Knight of the Order of Santiago and field gentleman of His Majesty.
He was patron of the Chapel of the Kings in the convent of Santo Domingo
de Almagro.
Pedro Scotti of Agoiz was a staff writer and Spanish
by the end of the seventeenth century and the beginning of the
eighteenth century .
He was born on January 5, 1676 in Pamplona.
Natural son of Francesco María Scotti, count of Vigoleno, gentleman of
the Chamber of Emperor Leopold of Austria, and Juana María de Agóiz.
He developed his
career as an official of the Monarchy during the end of the reign of
Carlos II (1665-1700) and the beginning of the reign of Felipe V
(1700-1746). He was mayor of Logroño, Calahorra, Alfaro, Guadix and
Baza . Finally he obtained a destination in the Palace . He was a
general chronicler of the kingdoms of Castile and a member of the Royal
Spanish Academy , where he was the first occupant of chair Z
(1715-1728).
He was lord of the towns of Somontín and Fines in
the province of Almería. His son (above) would inherit this lordship
upon his death.
He died in Baza (Granada) on October 21, 1728..
