    "Mrs. Ellis Reynolds, the mother of T.N. Sheppard died at the home ofher son, Louis Reynolds, near Ladoga, on Sat. The funeral at Union onMonday was conducted by Rev. L.F. Galey of Crawfordsville. Mrs. EllisMiles of Crawfordsville, born in Henry County, Kentucky, September 14,1925 (1825). She married Andrew J. Reynolds December 22, 1846. 3sons, 1 dau. Mary E. Sheppard and Louis J. survive her. 5 brothersand 1 sister living. She was a member of Baptist Church for 50years."

    Mary Elizabeth Reynolds was born July 4, 1850 and passed to her rewardDec. 19, 1922, age 72 years, 5 months and 15 days. She was united inmarriage to Thomas Newton Shepherd July 19, 1868, who preceded her indeath about 4 years ago. To this union was born one daughter, LorindaJane Herrod of Terre Haute. She joined the union Baptist Church onFeb. 11, 1874 and was baptized later. She united with the MissionaryBaptist Church at Waveland and was ever a loyal active member. She wasdevoted to her Church and was always present when her healthpermitted. She is survived by one daughter and an adopted son, Cecil,on whom she devoted a mother's care and guidance, one brother, LewisReynolds of Browns Valley, three grandchildren and a number of friendsand relatives. Her sickness was of short duration but she endured itall without a murmur. No one who ever knew her can ever forget hercalm sweet face which possessed that rare charity in an unusualdegree. She thought no ill of anyone and no harsh words escaped herlips. Ever gratified for the blessings she enjoyed and was ever readyto be submissive to Gods will and never losing her faith and trust inher Savior.     "RITES HELD FOR LEWIS REYNOLDS--FORMER BROWN'S VALLEY MAN DIEDSUDDENLY HERE SATURDAY AFTERNOON---Funeral services for Lewis W.Reynolds, who died suddenly in the rear of a local resaurant Saturdayafternoon, were held Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Brown'sValley Christian Church. Rev. J.H. Wilson, pastor of the Firstchristian Church of this city, was in charge. Burial was in Old UnionCemetery near Waveland. Reynolds was born near Waveland, June 17,1856, the son of Andrew and Alice Reynolds. He was married to Mary T.Wright, December 7, 1878 (hard to read). She died in May, 1932. Onedaughter, Mrs. Mabel French, died in 1904. Survivors, in addition tothe two daughters, include fifteen grandchildren and thirteengreat-grandchildren. Funeral services at the Browns Valley Christian Church onMonday were in charge of Rev. JH Wilson. Burial at Union Cemetery. Mr.Reynolds was born near Waveland June 17, 1856 and was the son ofAndrew and Alice Reynolds. He married Alice E. Wright Dec 7, 1870 whodied May 1932. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Thompson and Mrs.Dalton Connor of Covington.     "Lewis Reynolds, formally of Brown Valley, who was well known here,was found dead in the rear of the Wolf Restraurant in Crawfordsville.He had been staying with his daughter, Mrs. Leo Thompson, but for thepast few days had been at the home of Mrs. John Graham. Funeralservices at the Brown Valley Christian Church on Monday were in chargeof Rev. J. H. Wilson. Burial at Union Cemetery. Mr. Reynolds wasborn near Waveland June 17, 1856 and was the son of Andrew and AliceReynolds. He married Alice E. (?) Wright December 7, 1870 who diedin May 1932. He is survived by 2 dau., Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. DaltonConner of Covington. It's interesting that his old home in BrownValley burnt two days after his funeral."
