Clifford McRae wrote this to me years ago ,but I was never able tofind out anything about the "Widow" part.
... Hannah McMillan married Fraser McRae and were the parents ofClifford. Hannah's parents were Angus John McMillan and Catherine (Kate) Cameron married 1884.
E mail from E.M. Dalton
"Margaret McMillan McAuley. She was buried in the Sixth ConcessionCemetery in 1890. I haven't found her baptism as yet. Do you have anysuggestions where else I should look for that? I do have a copy of theAbstract of Lot W 1/2 36 7th Concession, Roxborough for AlexanderMcAuley. There were no attachments to the paper the Registry Office sentme. Alexander is not buried near Margaret. He died at St. Joseph'sIsland, Algoma County. He was visiting some McRae family members when hedied in 1896. Five of Alexander's siblings married into McRae familiesso there were many McRae's to visit.
Incidentally Alexander and Margaret's first child Angus born in 1848married fist a Jessie Blair and the second wife was -your right- a KatieCameron born 1858. Her parents are reported to be H.D. Cameron andMarjory/Margery (last name unknown). This Katie/Catharine was born inFinch (Moose Creek?) and died in Regina, Sask. I haven't done anychecking on that, but we did get the information from a grandson of Angusand Jessie." From Ella Dalton to Margaret Cameron
"Alexander McAuley's farm was on the 7th of Roxborough (One mile north ofthe 6th) which would be very near to the village of Moose Creek(Roxborough).. McAuley was a rare name in SDandG. This is the onlyMcAuley family I know about (Kenny McLean's mother). There were quite afew McRae families in and around Moose Creek. (There were variousbranches of the McRaes). The link that might help Ella is through theBlair family who might have more information about the McAuley family.Unfortunately, everyone is becoming older.( I never say 'old'). Therewas also a Cameron family which lived on the sixth concession of FinchTownship, a few miles east of the village of Berwick near the BoundaryRoad (Roxborough). I was not related to any of these Cameron families. There were also MacMillan families which had settled on the sixth(unrelated to my MacMillans). "
"The property would have been northeast of the village of Berwick, nearerto the village of Moose Creek."

" I note that you state that five of Alexander's family married 'into'McRaes. There were some McRae families that lived in and near MooseCreek (Rox.). Also, there was a Blair family that settled near MooseCreek (my cousin's son 'is a Blair" a desc. of Angus of Callich). Inoted that you state that Margaret's first child, Angus, b. c 1848,married 1) Jessie Blair, and the second wife was a 'Katie Cameron, b.1858. I do know that two gentlemen (Art Blair(of Moose Creek), my onetime neighbour on the island, and his cousin, John Blair, descended froma 'Cameron' family that was unrelated to my Cameron family. From what Iknow, this particular 'Cameron branch' lived on the fourth concession ofRoxborough (I don't know if they were related to the Cameron family thatfirst settled on Lot 6, 1, Rox.)."
