His motherwas Ruth Munson, He was the second son and third _________ of afamily of Eleven children - six sons and five daughters. His Fatherfought in the Revolutionary War (Benjamin). Of the Early life ofSamuel little is known. He came with his parents to Kentucky.
He had become the possesser of a small shot gun called (?? uncle)"Sam's Shot Gun"."
