Notes:

A Land grant of 100 acres was issued to Randolph Riddle. Randolph's land was located between Hawkins' Mill Creek and Town Fork Road, the old road from Virginia to Salem, NC. Randolph and John lived about one mile from each other in the northeast corner of what is now Stokes Co.

Randolph married Jemima Hawkins in 1783 in Surry Co., North Carolina. Jemima was born about 1765 in Virginia; died about 1842 in Scottboro, Jackson Co., Alabama; was buried in Liberity Cemetery, Jackson Co., Alabama. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

I found the following records on Basil Riddle, together with others of his family, in Saint Barnabas Church, Queen Anne Parish, Prince Georges, Maryland:

Parents are listed as John and Elizabeth Riddle. The date span between the various children's births makes me doubt that this is all one family. I will put down what I have, for what it's worth. It seems to go along with some of the List messages this week about Jeremian and George Riddle as well as Basil.
