It is possible that the pedigree of Emily's daughter Adelaie b. 1898 may owe
more to John Donnely, father of two children - Henry & Emily, who lived with
Emily after their mother died in 1895 - than to Frederic Stone. Stoneis shown
as the father on birth certificates, however anecdotal information received in
April 2008 suggests otherwise. Unverified.
(Source: "...This could be a bit touchy but we think Adelaide Stone is a
half sister to my grandfather Henry Donnelly. Her mother was Emily Douglas but
maybe Fred Stone was not the father. Have a look at my family tree and you
will see the information that I have. My dad Kenneth just died last year and
he had a photo of Adelaide and remembers the tension between the families. My
grandfather and his sister ended up in an orphanage (once John Donnelly moved
on). In these times this would have been pretty scandalous. Interesting !!!!!!
