    "Alexander (Sir) DUNBAR of Westfield, who was regarded as illegitimateand therefore ineligible to succeed to the earldom. He was amplycompensated by being given the barony of Westfield, and the hereditaryoffice of Sheriff of Moray. He married Isabel, daughter of AlexanderSutherland, third baron of Duffus, from which marriage all of theScottish families of Dunbar are said to be descended."

    "JAMES DUNBAR of Frendraught became fourth Earl of Moray, succeeding his cousin Thomas Dunbar, third Earl of Moray. He died or was killed about 10 August 1430. By his wife, Katherine or Janet Seton, he left two daughters, Janet and Elizabeth as co-heiresses. Prior to this marriage,he had been handfasted to Isobel Innes, daughter of Walter (Sir) Innes,but she apparently died before marriage."
